Cartoons have been around for a long time. How many of you remember the old comic strips,Dagwood,or Mutt and Jeff? Cartoons have been shown in movie theaters .Cartoons,like Mickey Mouse,Daffy Duck,Goofy,and many more. They bring laughter to us when we need it, they also bring smiles from anyone who watches them. Have you ever noticed your children when they watch cartoons? Cartoons,like Barney,or Blue Clues? They are all excited and happy to watch them. The people behind these cartoons must be so very talented. Have you ever wondered who comes up with the ideas and words? We should acknowledge these behind the scene folks. They are not noticed but they are just as important as the cartoon charactors.We have so many talented people in our world and we do not even know them. I have always loved cartoons, and cartoon jokes  as long as they are clean and suitable.Now Humor can be little sayings about anything. About the way we live, our hobbies, our professions, no matter what the sayings are , they can make us laugh. I have attempted to add a few cartoon products and little humor in my zazzle store. When I first decided to open my store I went to another place.This was before I even heard of Zazzle, but I found the other place hard to understand and I could not do what I wanted to do. So one day I found Zazzle. At first it was a bit confusing but that was me and not them. My first products were not all that great but with time I have improved. Today I went and reorganized my products and folders. I still have more to do . And I created more stuff.Today I created t-shirts ,folders,mugs,stickers,magnets,posters of Niagara Falls. I am sure many of you have been there or heard about it. Many young couples went there for their honeymoon. I also find if I have a problem or a question Zazzle is quick to reply. That is a plus, because there is still lots of stuff I haven’t attempted to do yet, so again I will ask for their help.The t-shirt above I created a few days ago, this t-shirt is one that you personalize, you add what you want at the bottom of it. Great for anyone, and nice for Acadians and Cajuns too. Now someone has asked me to use one of my images on here, but I do not want my images used by others unless it would be to advertise my site only. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could go back in time. What wonders would we see? What hardships would there be? If we could back in time, I would want to go back to when I ancestors crossed over the seas to come settle in a new frontier. I would like to know how they felt ,leaving their countries for unknown land. There must have been sadness leaving the only home they knew,leaving their families, cousins and friends. Would they have been a little afraid? And when they saw their first glimpse of their new homeland, were they happy?  Oh it sure would be nice to go back and see. But we cannot go back in time, all we can do is try to piece together what happened way back then. Now another thing way back then, the weather sure must have been different for many of our ancestors. When the snow and bitter cold  arrived, how were they prepared? What kinds of clothing did they wear? I read that the native americans gave them a helping hand, so they probably showed them what to wear, animal hides would have been warmer than cotton for sure. What did they wear on their hands to protect them from the harsh winter ? And what did they do when they saw their first new breed of animals? Many of our animals would have been new to them. Even some of our fish were different from theirs back home. What did they eat when they first arrived? They probably  brought some of their food but when it ran out they had to look for something else.All these things run through my mind, if only we could go back in time. Changing the subject  a little ,seeing as I am talking about the past, I have added a few items on my website regarding genealogy, there is one shirt with an image of a man smoking a pipe with a cute little poem added. Who would believe that coyotes attack humans? I opened the newspaper this morning and on the front page headlines Kent County woman attacked by coyote. Now this is in New Brunswick Canada and there are tons of coyotes around. This happened in Saint Charles, a little village not far from Saint Louis de Kent. The lady had moved there recently and she said she heard the coyotes howl at night but never thought anymore about it. She had her dog outside, just a little dog and the coyote jumped at the dog,she intervened and the coyote bit her and she fought him off. He escaped but without her dog as a meal. This is scary because if a coyote will attack a dog, what about little children? I would be so very cautious if I lived near woods or where coyotes were seen. They are hungry and looking for any meal they can find. There was a young lady  killed recently but two coyotes in Cape Breton. It is a very scary situation. This lady from St Charles suffered bites and very probably shock. She said it was the adrenlin that kept her going, she was protecting her little pet. I had to share this with all of you readers. Do not trust the coyotes.

Moncton New Brunswick Mug

Alzheimer is a brain disease affection mostly people 65 and over, but there are cases of people as young as 30,40 and 50 getting the disease. Alzheimers is a progressive disease. People with Alzheimers are forgetful, they lose things,they get lost. They have mood changes at times.
Things that they used to do everyday are unfamiliar to them. There is a reason for my title as you will see later on.
We found out my late husband had Alzheimers in 1995, he was a very smart man. He was an electrician and a very good one. He could do crytograms without writing anything down, he would look at it and decifer it right away. I noticed he was forgetting first of all by his driving, his sense of direction was all wrong, he would be on the wrong side of the road and say he wasn’t. It used to take him five minutes to fix a lamp, but it was at a point it took him over an hour and sometimes longer. Once we found out he had Alzheimers, he progressed very fast, from not walking, to not talking to not eating unless his food was pureed. It was a very hard time for the both of us. Me being the caregiver and him being the patient and not knowing why things were happening. I am so happy that before he took sick we shared his memories. He told me about when he was single and the things he did. The fun he had. And I made notes , not knowing that soon he would have Alzheimers. As you know Alzheimers is a mind taking disease. They cannot remember .He shared with me, a paticular story that was funny. If any of you remember the Canadian MP Claudette Bradshaw, well my husband was a great friend to her father and the boys used to all go there. My husband always wore shirt and ties and suits before he married me and he liked his beer, and anyway this paticular time he fell asleep on the sofa in his suit ,tie and white shirt. While he was sleeping someone put a live hen on his chest, and when he woke up, he saw it and said “Hya Chicken” and the chicken was so scared it dirtied all over his white shirt.
I found that to be so funny that I added it in a story book I made for my grandson.
So this is the connection with Genealogy and Alzheimers, before your love ones come down with the disease or if they are just beginning, Now is the time to ask questions about when they were young, maybe get them to tell you about favorite recipes, or first loves, how they met their spouses, if they remember their christmases of long ago. Ask them to talk about their parents, and be sure to have a tape recorder ,or a scribbler, or note book and your digital camera on hand. This is something you or your love ones will treasure later on. Because Alzheimers robs them of their memories, and when the memory are gone, there is no getting it back.

 am certain many of you have watched the television series Roots by Alex Haley, it told the story of an african boy kidnapped and sold into slavery and the saga continued with his daughter and grandson. It was a very good story. And from that show, it got a lot of people interested in tracing their families. Now I just received word that on March 5,at 8pm/7 Central time,NBC is going to air a new show called Who do you think you are? The idea was taken from a UK TV show which got a lot of people into genealogy. The one that will air on NBC is going to be celebrities finding their roots. This should be very interesting. Some of the ones taking part are Brooke Shield,Susan Serandon,Sarah Jessica Parker,Emmitt Smith. I am anxious to see the show, since I like Susan Sarandon, and Sarah Jessica Parker. And this show just might get more people interested in their roots. I wonder if there will be some important people among their ancestors, maybe there were pirates,or kings or who knows. Maybe by watching the show we just may see some of our ancestors branching into these celebrities lines. I hope some of you will catch the show. Children Mousepads

Monk Monkey is a cute little guy I met recently. Now he comes from the jungles across the seas and oceans. He left home and hopped a boat to North America . His parents had told him that there were little children in America so Monk decided he wanted to see what these children were like. So arriving in America, he made his way to visit someone in the hospital , he found out someone was having a birthday. So he decided he would ask Zazzy to add his picture on some mugs, mousepads,on posters (lots of posters) even on children shirts just in case some little boy or girl would like to remember Monk Monkey. Monk said he would try to stay as long as he could in America. He really hopes the boys and girls will like him,and stop by often to see him.
