Trails of our Ancestors
WEll if you have watched the show Who do you think you are on TV, you would have seen the Celebrities having their family tree done, so I thought to myself, what if we (my genealogy group and I )did something similar to it. We could not send anyone to France or England but we could trace their family tree for them. So we advertised that we were making a draw and the winner would have his or her paternal line done and the women on her maternal side done. And we did the draw and the winner gave us some information to steer us in the right direction. So we got to work and so far we have her direct paternal line done right to the first one who arrived from France and we have all the names on her maternal side. Next we are gathering photos and stories about these ancestors for her and we will make it like a story instead of names dates and locations. So it is coming along fine.
