Good Deed ,Feel Good

Now why would good deed make a person feel good? Well I would think of it this way, if someone did a good deed for me, I am sure I would feel good about it and they would feel good doing it.

A couple of days ago,I went to the supermarket to pick up a few articles of groceries, while I was standing at the check out with my cart and groceries, this elderly lady was ahead of me and when the clerk told her what her groceries came to, this lady started looking for her purse ,then she began to panic ,she was so very upset, she had put her purse in another cart and changed carts, and her cart was nowhere to be seen and she kept saying I have never done this before and all my money and cards are in my wallet, what am I going to do? Seeing her so upset I said to her, wait a minute I will go see if I can find it. So there were others at the other checkouts and so I began asking ,have you seen a purse, have you seen a purse? All of a sudden I heard it is at the office, someone had found it and brought it to the office. So the clerk went and got it. This little lady had tears in her eyes because she was so happy to have her purse and all its belongings inside. So this was my good deed and it honestly did make me feel good . And the good deed I did must have paid off because I came home, checked my mail and guess what? I had made a sale in my zazzle store. So maybe the sale was my reward.

I have been working on my gallery, adding new things very often, If an idea comes to me, then I create, this week it was genealogy related, as you know I love genealogy so this was an easy task, last week I was on the shoe creating, next week I haven’t a clue but I honestly love creating and I do hope others will like my ideas and products. You can view them all at http://www.zazzle.com/allicor*

Thanks for the visit ,do stop by again.

Hard Work pays off

Beautiful Mousepad

Beautiful Mousepad

Sometimes it is true, hard work does pay off. I have been working hard on my zazzle gallery. With all the competition out there sometimes you may think it is not worth your while. But I am a person who doesn’t give up too easily. I remember when I first began my family tree, and I was looking for this birth of one of my ancestors, and he was a hard person to find. Every day I would go to the center and look, and look. I did not know this at the time but the president of the center was watching me and he later told me he was expecting me to give up anytime, but I never did and yes I did find my ancestor. So my gallery is the the same, I started not having a clue what I was doing, and even know there are lots of things I have not learned yet, but I keep trying and anyway the day before yesterday I received an email saying I had been given the zazzle artist award for my beautiful Flower Girl Mousepad. I was so surprised. ME ? Winning a zazzle artist award? Well you can bet that I am honored, so this award gave me more of a reason to keep on going. And some sales to go along with my award sure made my day. So yesterday I added some products with my Pigeon image as you can see above. I am proud of my achievements. If you want to see more of my products including my Flower Girl Mousepad that won the award go to http://www.zazzle.com/allicor*   And if you get discouraged about anything, do not give up, keep on going, eventually all your work will pay off. Have a great day

Who is Monk the Monkey?

Children Mousepads

Children Mousepads

Monk Monkey is a cute little guy I met recently. Now he comes from the jungles across the seas and oceans. He left home and hopped a boat to North America . His parents had told him that there were little children in America so Monk decided he wanted to see what these children were like. So arriving in America, he made his way to visit someone in the hospital , he found out someone was having a birthday. So he decided he would ask Zazzy to add his picture on some mugs, mousepads,on posters (lots of posters) even on children shirts just in case some little boy or girl would like to remember Monk Monkey. Monk said he would try to stay as long as he could in America. He really hopes the boys and girls will like him,and stop by often to see him. His address is http://www.zazzle.com/allicor*   You can find him in miscellneous folder under mugs ,buttons,he is also on posters, and in the children folder. Now Monk has to go see about having himself put on some children shoes. So with a big smile Monk Monkey says

toodle loo.

About Fishing

Salmon fishing
Salmon fishing
There are many avid fishermen out there. What kinds of fishing do they like? Well some are brook fishermen, some deep sea fishermen, soem fish in lakes . They fish for salmon, as you can see by my photo here, they fish salmon in both oceans. Miramichi Salmon Fishing is a well known . Miramichi is located in New Brunswick Canada, and did you know that Bing Crosby the easy listening singer who sang White Christmas used to have a camp there?
Apparently his mother or grandmother was Irish and came from that area.(So I am told). And I am sure there were many other famous folks fishing in the great Miramichi. Now some folks prefer ice fishing. On the paper this week there was an article on smelts, and ice fishing.I quote from the article.” Smelts may never attain the iconic status that has earned the Atlantic Salmon,a place on this province’s license plates. But this unsung delicacy of the sea will always have a place on New Brunswicker’s dinner plates. Now I love smelts when they are caught in the winter, they are sweet. Rolled in flour ,seasoned with pepper, a tad of salt if possible and fried until a golden brown. Oh this makes my mouth water. I remember my late husband used to go smelt fishing on the ice, the ice was frozen hard enough for cars to drive on and they would go by truck. I kept hoping the ice would be hard enough, yep it was.Once they got to their destination, the fishermen had little huts all around, inside the huts they drilled through the ice until they hit the water and used to fish from those holes. The men would dress warm to go there even if they had their little huts.
Now some folks like to fish for trout, there are brook trout and sea trout, but I love the brook trout the best. I went fishing a couple of times, but guess what? Someone always had to put the worm on my hook. grin. No way did I want to touch the worms. It must have been frustrating for them because as soon as I got the worm on my hook, I would cast in the water, if I didn’t catch a branch I got a trout. Now once I caught the trout it was “take it off! take it off!”
Another time we went by boat, my brother in law had a sports boat and we went on the open waters off of Saint Louis and he had equipment to jig makerel and cod fish, so he showed us what to do, and lo and behold I caught makerel and makerel, when we returned to shore the bottom of his boat was filled with cod and makerel since the cod follows the makerel. Talk about a smell in the boat, and we bottled some fish, we gave a lot away but it was a fun day.
There are some who fish Eels, (not me I am afraid of them)others fish for shad, or sturgeon, and so on.There are many many kinds of fish out there which means there are many fishermen who prefer to fish their choices. Now there are many ladies who love to fish, as well as many children. You see in stories about a little boy on his bicycle with his fishing rod on the way to fish.
Now speaking of fishing, I want to mention, the image at the top of this page is a mousepad I did ,and I also have created things with trout on and funny fishing products. You can see them in my gallery, check out fishing, and also check out miscellaneous ,and more mugs and magnets.
I intend on adding more fishing things. Go to http://www.zazzle.com/allicor* while you are there check out my valentines, just created a new one today .
Have a great day thanks for stopping

Time to prepare

Hello, thanks for stopping by. Yesterday I awoke to our first snowfall of the season. That is pretty good since it was the fifth of December and usually we have our first snowfall earlier. I remember having snow on Halloween even. So after I got motivated, I decided to go clean off my car. I have a little saturn so there isn’t much to clean, but yesterday the snow was a wet and heavy snow. But I managed it, and then my Mom who is 91 and still drives is nearby so I went and cleaned her car. That is as far as I got, I stayed in all day. So did Mom. Today it is suppose to be a bit warmer which is good. And now it is time to prepare for the coming holidays. I have my tree up and decorated, and did some housecleaning. I need to do more baking and  order my turkey. I want a Butterball turkey and I want to get a 20 pound turkey because we are having company. So my preparations are going along on schedule.

I am still working on my zazzle store, I try and make a new item as often as I can. Yesterday I made a cute raccoon mousepad, mug and postcard. A friend of mine gave me the image, he had taken the photo. I found it so cute I just had to put it on some items. I find that images on line are not plentiful so I try not to add any at all, they are either copywrite or you need to link back to them or you cannot use them for commercial or you have to buy them. I have other ideas to check out. I am having fun with my store. When I sold my first item ,talk about I was excited grin. There is so much competition out there and I sold something of MINE.. yippee. I am getting fans everyday and I check out their stores I am amazed at the talent out there. So it is an honor if I sell something since I have only started my store not long ago. So if you are in the vicinity of  my store please have a peak ,see what you think. I have lots of things to learn and to change in my store yet.But I will get there.  Visit my store at http://www.zazzle.com/allicor*

Until next time have a great day
